Gorilla Guardian!

Here's some sketching for my entry for the Crimson Daggers - Bloodsport Challenge! I choose the cheesiest topic out of the three. My figure is a stone golem that sits and has protected the gorillas for over 200 years, when the cries of the blood of the apes are spilled the golems spring to live for vengeance. Collect all 6 from all over the valley. :D

Here's an update on my friends card too.

Here's some things I was sketching on for this weeks CHOW (character of the week), not entering the finals but I sure had some fun sketching scary old money embezzling illuminati style 'prophets' of the end times. P:

Skyrim landscape closeups

Skyrim!

So I've been really addicted to painting landscapes, but they're always fun to a point then I just want to paint another. Maybe im searching for the mood in the image rather than the rendering...

Surly Sparrow

Here's a set of mock cards that my friend wanted for his hand made boutique food store. Not too keen on the logo he wanted but eh. I want to change it to the surly swallow... He's gay, get it? Lol. So rough.

Friendly Alien Market Bazaar Character

Finally less talking and more art~

Here's some landscape and composition practice. Feel good man. :D

Break down what I do and don't know.

So this has been the major breakthrough for this year, really sitting down and realizing what I need to improve on artistically, mentally and physically. Some people would have heard of the deathline, I'm loosely following their guidelines and keep active, posting everyday and physically improving upon those things. The more I do it the more good habits I'll create.

Next up - improvement schedule, small things I'm doing daily.

Also I got a giant new drawing desk, two monitors a wacom and wads of drawing materials and references spread over two desks. I feel like an art queen.

The beginning of great things...

So after a year of self development and little progress it's time to start recording those successes and failure, may there be many, and may I kick them in their hypothetical rears. It's time for some learning.
